Vision

The Institute for Pentecostal Theology (IPT) is a community of scholars researching and working in the Pentecostal tradition. Its primary research focus is on theology, history, and biblical studies, but it also engages with other academic disciplines – like the natural sciences – from a Pentecostal and Charismatic perspective.  The IPT is committed to ecumenical dialogue and in line with its Pentecostal ethos it seeks a theology which does not have to be left behind in the study; that is, it aspires to serve and renew life in the church and wider society. It aims to be a resource for students, Christian leaders, and academics in the UK, Europe, and further afield.

The IPT is located on the campus of Regents Theological College in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and houses significant special collections and archives, including the Donald Gee Centre, the archives of the Elim Pentecostal Church, and the Newfrontiers archive.
